Cookie Policy
Last updated: 4 June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Starter.pt uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It should be read together with the Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a browser or device when a website is visited. Similar technologies may include local storage, session storage, pixels or server-side identifiers. They can be used for technical operation, security, preferences, analytics or advertising.
2. Current use on this website
As of the date above, this website may use Google Tag Manager for optional analytics only after the visitor accepts the Analytics category. Advertising, profiling or behavioural tracking cookies are not intentionally activated by Starter.pt unless a relevant optional category has been accepted. The website may also use strictly necessary technical cookies or similar technologies through hosting, CDN, security or form-handling infrastructure where these are required to make the website work, protect it from abuse, verify a Turnstile challenge or submit a contact request.
The website includes a cookie preference mechanism so visitors can accept, reject or manage optional categories. Optional analytics and marketing scripts should remain blocked unless consent has been recorded.
3. Cookie categories
| Category | Used now? | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | May be used | Security, hosting, Cloudflare Turnstile anti-spam checks, form submission, load balancing and basic website operation. | Not required where strictly necessary. |
| Consent preference storage | Yes | Remembering whether optional cookies or similar technologies were accepted or rejected. | Necessary to respect and prove the visitor's privacy choice. |
| Analytics | Optional | Traffic measurement and usage statistics through Google Tag Manager and any analytics tags configured through it. | Requires consent before activation. |
| Marketing or advertising | No | Advertising, retargeting, profiling or campaign tracking. | Would require consent before activation. |
| Preferences | No intentional use | Remembering optional user settings. | May require consent unless strictly necessary for a requested feature. |
4. Third-party scripts
The website may load technical assets from third-party CDNs, such as frontend libraries used for the interface. These are not used by Starter.pt for advertising or behavioural profiling. If analytics, advertising pixels or other non-essential tools are added in the future, they should be blocked until valid consent is obtained and this policy is updated.
At present, the website loads the Lenis smooth-scroll library from jsDelivr as a frontend interface asset. It is used to provide page scrolling behaviour and is not used by Starter.pt to identify visitors, measure analytics or build advertising profiles.
Google Tag Manager may be loaded only after Analytics consent is accepted. It is used as a tag container for website measurement. Any additional analytics or marketing tags configured through it should remain subject to the relevant consent category.
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish legitimate submissions from automated abuse. This may load Cloudflare challenge scripts and process technical request signals needed for spam prevention and form security.
5. Cookie banner and consent records
The cookie banner provides first-layer options to accept all optional categories, reject optional categories or manage choices by category. Optional categories are not pre-selected in the settings panel.
The selected preference is stored locally in the browser using local storage
under the key starter_cookie_consent_v1. This record is used only
to remember the visitor's choice and avoid asking the same question on every
page view. It can be changed at any time through the “Cookie preferences”
control in the website footer.
6. Managing cookies
Browser settings can be used to delete or block cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect basic website operation, security or form submission. Deleting local storage or browser data may also reset the cookie banner choice.
7. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if the website starts using analytics, marketing tools, preference storage or other technologies that require additional information or consent controls.
8. Contact
Questions about cookies or privacy can be sent to [email protected].
